My philosophy is that every voice is uniquely beautiful, and singers have a different paths to their full potential. Regardless of that path, singing that is based in joyful expression is the most satisfying. My approach is 40% anatomy & technique, 40% imagery & sensory perception, and 10% laughter. I look forward to working with you to sing to your heart out!
In my NYC-turned-DC studio, I teach students from around the world in all styles. I work with total newbies, karaoke queens, recording artists, and absolute pros. I work with singers ages 18-100. I believe that a good, sustainable technique will allow you to soar in whatever kind of singing pleases you. Check out the options below!
New Students
Welcome to Joyful Singing! I offer singing lessons in DC (Kingman Park) and virtually—as well as pop-up sessions in NYC (my original studio home!). I look forward to meeting you, learning about your goals, and having a blast working toward them. When I enter into a relationship with any singer — from absolutely newbie to pro, I want to make sure I am the right fit for your needs and can help you achieve your goals. Studio Membership
Voice lessons are not only an opportunity to dedicate yourself to the joyous practice of singing, but they can foster a wonderful musical relationship. To give you the best opportunity to achieve your goals and kind accountability to your practice, I encourage you to become a studio member. What does that entail?
Your own set time (weekly or every other week) of 45-minute sessions with 15-minutes of additional admin time dedicated to you.
A guaranteed spot in studio sharings and showcases.
Access to a YouTube Channel with a growing library of practice tracks.
Access to Joyful Singing’s Marco Polo account so you can check in or ask questions between lessons.
A set monthly fee ($165-325)
Support with goal setting and accountability on progress.

Drop In Lessons
Drop in lessons might be right for you if you already have singing training/experience and a very specific objective which can be tackled in 1-2 lessons. Examples might include preparation for an audition or callback, a stylistic element that you just want some help on, or interest in feedback on a specific song. Ala carte lessons can be booked during any time that is not reserved for a recurring student. Drop in lessons are $95 per session and payment is due at booking.
